Fat Tuesday.....

Happy Fat Tuesday!

 

Here in the "valley" everyone celebrates the day before the Lenten season as Fat Tuesday...the day you over indulge in things that you love as far as "goodies"....such as donuts....

 

I know...It's a silly thing...but a tradition nonetheless....

 

As I drove by a local bakery on my way to work, the lines were cards double deep....so I guess many use this day to indulge in sweets...

 

Tomorrow in the Christian faith start the Lent Season tomorrow, Ash Wednesday.

As a Catholic, we also abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday and each Friday during lent...so there will be a lot of pizza, pierogies, halushki, etc. in the area where I live on Fridays. (gosh those words don't even show up in spell check). 

 

During Lent, you are suppose to give up something that you love and abstain from eating/doing it throughout the six weeks of Lent.....usually food items is what I think of.

 

I tend to look at it a little different...maybe instead of giving up something, I like to do something that I don't usually do....of course something that I love....which is of course stamping....and something that I don't do enough of.....sending out my hand stamped cards...for the Lent season, I am going to send a card (more maybe more) each day....maybe to  you?  (if you are on my customer list)...so don't be too shocked if you receive a hand stamped card from me....just because.....
