Hello and Happy Friday Eve
(aka Thursday)
If you have been following me.....here's an update:
Well...I've been busy at home.....when I got home from work yesterday and stepped into my house...all I can smell was skunk....so off I went...trying to find the source.
I started by getting out my dinner to cook....a yummy pot roast...
prepared it and into the pressure cooker it went....
Then...started off by wiping down Aurora again....then off to wash all the floors.....throw blankets...
Auroa's blankets, clean the crate, stripped the bed...scrubbed the tub, etc......Phew!
Took Aurora out for a potty break and came in...still....smell of skunk.
Back to the internet.....last resort...for now....vinegar....now my house just needs lettuce thrown about and I can have salad.....will be investigating further after working today.

I have a sad heart today. I have been watching an online eagle nest in the Hanover area of PA (near Harrisburg) for years now.....and while the nest has had ups and downs over the years, this year is breaking my heart. Apparently the cameras were down over the weekend and something happened to the female eagle, Liberty. The male, Freedom has been left to tend to the eggs in the nest (there are 2). Apparently there has been an intruder female eagle already making her move onto Freedom and forcing him off the next at times...fighting, etc. After he's been sitting on the nest for days, he needed to get some food....so in stepped the intruder female again.....and sadly, the nest has been unattended to for too long (being the area also was hit with a snowstorm) and the eggs are buried in the snow. So sadly, it looks like the eggs are not going to hatch and people that live around the area are searching on their properties to see if there is any sign of the injured eagle Liberty.

This nest has certainly had its history of tragedies. One season the eggs never made it...another season one of the babies died...the nest had major stability problems and dropped...thus this couple Liberty and Freedom kept at it and rebuilt and did their best with whatever happened to them and their little families. It is amazing to see nature in action and unfortunately we have to see the good times...along with the bad times....but I wish to thank everyone on the Facebook group I follow along with the Pennsylvania Game Commission and Comcast, etc. that all help make this possible for us.
Thoughts and prayers going out for our eagle couple....let's hope there is a happy ending for them.
On that note, I though I would dedicate this day's post to the eagles, although we don't currently have an eagle stamp set anymore.....think I'll submit this to the Sandbox at Stampin' Up!
