Hello and Happy Sunday Morning

Sure is a chilly one here in NEPA....brrrrrr

I love the change of seasons we have here....the fall is my favorite..the colors...reminds me of Old Olive, More Mustard and Cajun Craze....ok...now you are thinking she is totally crazy...lol

Michelle and I tried a new recipe yesterday.  I received this recipe from an email.  I checked the ingredients, felt like something yum...warm and sweet, so we gave it a try.  It was quick to throw together and really tasty, so I thought I would share it with you.  YUM-O  Perfect for baking on a nice fall like day like today.  Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Easy Apple Cake
1 cup of sugar
2 cups of diced apples
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Preheat oven to 350
Mix in order. Pour into a greased 8x8 inch pan. Bake until knife inserted comes out clean. Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Optional: Raisins

Was having some fun with  my Ghoolies Kit and some leftovers I had from previous projects in my stash and came up with this fun design.  I love this little Ghoolies Kit.  Quick and simple.  The edge on the glimmer paper doesn't show up well on camera...but love adding some "bling" to my projects.

Here's another project I came up with.  The background is glossy paper.  I always forget about this fun cardstock by Stampin' Up!  I firsted stamped on the glossy cardstock using Staz On and made sure to be completely dry before the next step. This is so important when doing a design like this.  One thing you can do which I use all the time is after stamping, turn cardstock over the press onto scrap paper..the ink that isn't dry will transfer to this paper and help in drying or you can always use your new heat tool by SU on setting # 1 (did you know our new heat tool had two settings?).   I used sponge daubers and added in color here and there and blended.  I love the googlie eyes on the boo.  Cute, simple and I think the kids would love this one.

Well, I'm off to church...hope you have a fun and fabulous day.  If you have no plans for today, Nay Aug Park in Scranton is hosting a fundraiser, Bark in the Park.  There is going to be bands (one of my favorites are playing Farmers Daughter) and all sorts of fun activities.  It's going to be a great day so make sure you make it your best!

Happy Stampin!
