Hello Stampers - Happy Sunday!

What a beautiful day it has become...the sun is shinning and the temperature is rising...just for a few days but we will enjoy it while it lasts....

I've got a pot of chilli cookin on the store today....smells like fall...but feels like spring!  lol

I'd like to that those ladies that attended my Stamper's Six Stamp Club on Thursday evening.  We had such a fun time and look forward to many more months of stamping with these fabulous ladies.

I'd like to share with you the projects which we created.  So Much Fun!

Every other month SU supplies us demos with a magazine filled with ideas to share with our friends and customers.  There are also a lot of ideas on our demonstrator web site portion of the SU site with other ideas to share...so many ideas...so little time to stamp, but this first idea was posted on the cover of our Stampin' Success magazine (which you can also receive if you decide to sign on as a demonstrator)...love it.

This is a Retro Ornament

This was so simple to create and also a great way to use up some of those scraps of DSP (designer series paper) you have laying around.  The stampers tonight got to chose the paper of their choice...and they got to try out our new Paper Trimmer w hich is now available for purchase...I think everyone is sold...it is fabulous!  LOVE MINE!

Here's how it was created and the measurements of cutting:

2 strips at 1 x 6
2 strips at 1 x 5 3/4
2 strips at 1 x 5 1/2
2 strips at 1 x 5 1/4
2 stips at 5

Starting from the center adhere the 2 5 inch strips together..makes the center of the ornament stable.  Then just add the cascading strips one to each side of the ornament.  Used my paper pierceing tool to create a hole in the top and added a mini brad to secure the strips...same for the bottom....even up the strips, hole punch and add a brad. Then taking a piece of twine or thin ribbon, place into the center pulling up each ends to the top and tie a knot on the ends. I didn't like the brads showing, so I punched out four little punches of glimmer paper and secured one to each side of the brads to cover them up and that's it....easy peasy!  Love it...you can embelish it any way that you like.  Here's one where I added my own tag to it.

Here is the second item which we created using our DSP....it is a part of the Candlelight Collection of papers and has included 2 12 x 12 sheets of flocked paper...OMG...beautiful....this was a simple but elegant card....

I loved adding the punched out Gold Glimmer Paper to the center of the ornament and the rhinestone adds another bling!  The paper piercing adds a bit of texture also.  To have the stampers make sure to stamp the ornament center, we used the Stamp A Ma Jig....if you don't have one of these...it's a must!

Well enjoy your day!  Happy Stampin!

Susan
