Happy Wednesday

As many of you already know, I had a major surgery performed a short two weeks ago.  While it seems like a long time ago, it really hasn't been but it's a long road in the recovery process.

I want to thank you all for your cards, well wishes and prayers during this time in my life. This makes me realize how many truly wonderful friends I have added to my life through Stampin' Up!

I am working towards the road of recovery and slowly getting back into stamping.  With anything, there are good days and bad days. Days when I feel like I have a lot of energy and others when there is not so much.....but I promise...I will be back into my normal swing of things soon...and back to offering my classes, etc.

So, on those good days, I have been creating some fun projects.

With Easter and First Communions and some religious holidays, I don't really have any stamp sets that are focusing on these times.  So what does a stamper do?  Think outside the box.

I saw this idea on Pinterest...sorry...not sure who exactly to give credit to, but would love to share how you can take your Big Shot Lattice Bigz Die and create a cross.  I have created a tutorial for you to help.

Below is the Lattice Die....if you turn it a little bit, you will be able to see the cross design, just by trimming a bit.

Here is one of the cards I created.  I dry embossed the background Whisper White and also added one of her Paper Doilies.  I added some punched flowers and also leaves using the bird punch.

Here is a close up of the flowers. If you look closely, you will see the cross which I first stamped onto the CS using the Woodgrain Background Stamp.

Here is another design.  I used the Tulips Embossing Folder along the edges.  My cousin's daughter is receiving her First Holy Communion in a few weeks, so I have designed this card to create for her.

Here's another close up of this cross I created.

And one more....using Boho Blossoms Punch and some of our Silver Tiny Brads.

Now...go and get out that Lattice Die and dust it off...or...if you do not have one, you need to get this beautiful die for your Big Shot...head on over to my online store and order it today!

Hope you have a beautiful Stampin' Day!

Susan
