Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

To all moms everywhere, there is nothing like having a mother and being a mother. Thank you for all you do!

I'm spending this Mother's Day with my family at my daughter's house. It makes it easier for her with Travis for him to take his nap, etc., and hey...it's easier for me as no cleaning, cooking or prepping at my house!  lol

Actually when we were planning for this Mother's Day ( as we are planners in my family ), I asked my Mom what she would like to have for dinner...like she always says, let's keep it simple...right!  simple!  NOT!   lol.....so finally she said her favorite is my homemade meat ravioli....well, that's not a problem....usually, but I was thrilled to make them and cannot wait to eat them!  I am also going to pick up some chickens from Sam's Club (if you have never had them...they are the best!) and some Italian bread and my daughter is going to make a yummy Caesar salad and Mom is going to pick up an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins! and my brother and his family are covering the beverages and voila....Mother's Day dinner.  We never like going out to eat and it's so expensive and we can better talk and visit by doing our own thing.

So, I'd like to share my thank you cards to my customers for the month of April.

When you place an order with me, as a special thank you, I create a beautiful card to send to you.  If you have received them and wonder why do I place a post it note inside and write, it's because you can then pass on the card to someone you wish to thank.  It's a multi purpose card.  I thank you and you thank them..kind of like a card circle...lol

This car was created from the Mother's Day card I created for my mom posted above.   The  basic Whisper White cardstock was embellished with a piece of vellum overlay which I ran through the big shot for the scallop embossing.  The gold piece was also run through the big shot to be embellished.

The flowers were stamped onto vellum with Black Staz On and then punched out with the coordinating punch.

I also punched out the butterfly using the Butterfly Punch (which was also dry embossed and adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals).

One tip with working with vellum is you have to be careful attaching it as no matter what type of adhesive you use, you will see it...a downfall, but I have the perfect solution...just adhere it where you won't see it, like behind a stamped image or a punched image!  Simple....right!

Have a super Stampin' Day!

Susan
