Borderline Buddies

Welcome to Borderline Buddies Day!

It's Wednesday....and you know what that means....Borderline Buddies Day!

It was Leanna's week to pick the challenge...and her pick was creating something using a background stamp...so being in the USA we are celebrating our independence on the 4th of July, I thought I would incorporate the two....and using my favorite background stamp....Woodgrain.

Here's what I came up with:

I used the Woodgrain background stamp. I first inked the upper corner with Night of Navy Ink and then filled in the red swipping the ink pad right across the stamp using Real Red.  I don't have a current alphabet stamp set, so I pulled out a retired one...not my favorite choice, but that's all I had to work with.....so that's what was used.

The stars were punched out on the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper....the Glimmer paper has been redesigned...and it's a bit thiner and much easier to punch out.  The silver and gold has also been redesigned.  I used the Star punch from the Punch Pack which includes a set of three punches.

I was going to initially raise them up with the Stampin' Dimensionals, but decided to just adhere them with Tombow glue.

For the letters, I used the Alphabet stamp set using Night of Navy ink and punched out using a retired square punch and also the Night of Navy CS was punched with the postage punch.

Now...let's head on over to Leanna's blog to see what she has created ......

Have a super stampin' day!

Susan
