It's Monday.....another new work week...another fresh new day.....
Sadly I have to respond on a personal level.....
As many of you know I adopted a rescue dog, but due to the unforeseen illness that he contracted and feeling I could not adequately care for him both physically and financially, I got him made comfortable and had to return him to the shelter on which I adopted him from.
I miss him dearly but hope he gets the treatment and care that he needs....
Those of you that are animal lovers feel my pain and my sadness having to do this...but all I was concerned about is getting him the necessary care and treatment that he needs...
so.....after that being said.....that's how my weekend ended.....
July usually brings to mind vacation and happy summer parties and events...it also screams...Christmas in July....everywhere you look from TV to newspaper adds.....and it's hard to believe while we are sweating, it is only a few short months away.
How many of us say oh yes...we are going to send holiday cards this year but while it may seem like a long while off, we seem to get wrapped into life events and then are scrambling last minute to create holiday cards and then...well...never get to complete them or even send them.
So....let's do a Christmas in July stamping event....start on your holiday cards NOW before the rush...even if you create a few every other week...by the time the holiday arrives, you are ready!
So, I though I would focus on some quick and easy holiday cards...this being one of them.
When I saw this stamp set, Joyful Nativity which is a set of 7 photopolymer stamps I knew it was one I had to order. The item number is 141565 and for only $17 for the entire set, it's quite a bargain.
This was a simple white on white card...and the "joy" was stamped in Cherry Cobbler.
I punched out a circle using a scrap of DSP and stamped the angel on the piece using Memento Black Ink and adhered it with a dimensional with a bit of Metallic Silver Thread underneath. Did you know the Metallic Thread comes in Gold, Silver, Black and Copper? Page 178 in the cagalog..check it out!
The saying was also stamped using Momento Ink Black.
I love it...the simplicity...and the beauty...and very doable....
so if you like this card, you can come along to my class which I am hosting on 7/31/16..Christmas In July Stampin' Class...I'd love to have you join me...and create a fun stack of cards to take home....including envelopes...
Check out my demo site and register right online...it's going to be a lot of fun!

Hope you have a super stampin' day!
