Masking with Garden in Bloom

Is Your Garden in Bloom?

Here in my part of the country....flowers are blooming, gardens are growing and the weather is hot, hot hot!

When I saw this card on Pinterest, I knew it was just what we needed to create at my All Occasion Card Class last week...it was well loved by all attending.

The stamp set we used is Garden in Bloom - Item #139433, set of 20 photopolymer stamps.

The technique used for this card is a masking technique.

So first you would stamp your flower on a Post-It note and trim out.
Then stamp onto your card the main flower and using the Post It Note, mask the flower to cover it and protect it from the other stamped images.
The color ink we used for the flower was Sweet Sugarplum. We first stamped off (this is where you would stamp on a scrap piece of paper) and then onto your card.  The second stamp will be stamped over it full strength and then Black Memento ink outline.

The leaves were done the same way using Old Olive and Black Memento outline.

The happy birthday is from the stamp set Tin of Cards Item # 138946 - set of 20 photopolymer stamps.

We didn't add it but using the Clear Wink of Stella would be a lovely addition...just a wash of glimmer onto the flowers would really add a nice touch.

I hope you enjoyed this card.....I love it....and it's super simple to create and reproduce for any reason.
