Borderline Buddies OSW....a what?

Borderline Buddies Wednesday

It's another Wednesday....and another Borderline Buddies.

This week Leanna shouted out the idea.....a OSW....a What?  lol

It's the One Sheet Wonder Idea....I think most of you if you have been with me for a while, have heard of One Sheet Wonders.

It's where you take a piece of cardstock and stamp on it all over kind of like making your own Designer Series Paper and then cut up the sheet and create a stack of cards....or whatever you wish to create!  It's a simple concept....and if you cannot seem to find the paper that you are looking for.....create your own!  It's that easy!

Let's see what Leanna has come up with this week:

Now...my turn.....

Okay....so I started this post...and then was going to add to it when I created my OSW....well...phew....it was quite a project...if I must say....
So...I was online looking for inspiration and what to do and I came across a 6 x 6 OSW created by Deb Valden. Her web site is www.stampladee.com   It was very inspiring...so I decided instead of stamping my own...I would use DSP....Designer Series Paper.

I absolutely love the Fruit Stand DSP...the colors are amazing...and the prints are stunning.

Here is the template which I copied.
On the left is the cut up DSP....On the right is the template on how to cut your DSP.

The base of the cards is Whisper White...and you get six cards in all with using a 6x6 DSP.  Our DSP is 12 x 12..so if you really wanted to, you could end up with 24 cards if using the entire sheet of DSP.

Now for the measurements of the other layers:
Base Cards:  All base cards are cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2"
Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
9 pieces that measure 1 3/4 x 3 1/4
2 pieces that measure 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
3 pieces that measure 1 3/4 x 1 3/4
4 pieces that measure 1/2 x 4 1/4
2 pieces that measure 1/2 x 5 1/2
2 pieces that measure 1 x 4 3/4
Whisper White Additional Pieces:
4 pieces that measure 1 1/2 x 3
2 pieces that measure 2 x 2

And here are the cards...all six of them....

The only stamp set I used was Garden in Bloom.  I did use little scraps of the In Color Ribbon along with little pieces of Whisper White and stamped the extra butterflies and bees.

I don't think it is showing up but I also used the Clear Wink of Stella over the butterflies, bees and flowers here and there....these cards are really stunning in person....and I love them...hope you do as well!

This idea makes a great class idea...if you are a demonstrator...or a way to create a stack of cards in almost no time at all.

I hope you enjoyed this week's challenge...I have to say..I wasn't prepared for it....but it's been a while without a challenge.....

Hope you have a SUper stampin' day!
