It's a BOOtiful way to mark you spot with a handstamped bookmar

Hello Stampers and Thanks for Stopping By....

Thought I would share with you another fun project to create..it's coming time for Halloween...and what are you going to give all those Trick or Treater's this year?  How about something not candy related....I created this into a bookmark, but you certainly can do so much more with this idea...again..not one of my own...a Pinterest find (have you check out Pinterest yet?)  OMG....so many fun ideas and I also have many Stampin' Sue Pinterest boards...so be sure to search for me!

Here's my Technique Share....isn't this just so cute?

Okay...onto the step by step instructions.....
Below are the supplies I used to create this fun bookmarker.....

The stamp set I used was the Best of Halloween....did you know that in celebration of Stampin' Up! 25th anniversary, they have a brand new stamp set each month to purchase?  These are the best of the best of the past 25 years...and if you purchase six of these stamp sets, you can receive a FREE stamp set of your choice by collecting the Best Of stickers....woo hoo...this monthly promotion is only available until March, 2014...so check it out on my demonstrator web site...okay....onward stampers.....

Simply just tear the strips...yup...the kiddos can help with this...easy....

Nest, I used a binder clip and adhered my sponge to it...great idea again I got from somewhere (keeps the fingers a tad bit less messy) and sponge all the edges using Soft Suede Classic Ink.

Add some your strips to your background (by the way...the base of this bookmarker was created using the cardboard type material that comes when you purchase your Designer Series Paper...this is a great way to Think Green and recycle....)

I used the Owl Punch to create the eyes....punching out the circles with Whisper White/Basic Black CS scraps...

Don't foirget the White Gel Pen to add some enhancements to the eyes....

and finally stamp your Trick or Treat stamp from the Best of Halloween stamp set and stampers......

and finally.....add some dimensionals to the back of the eyes...tucking them into the paper strips...stamp your image with Staz On black add a punch to the top (used my Crop A Dial) adding a ribbon (which I got off the Clearance Rack in my online store) and you are done....so fun...don't you think?

Okay...now it's your turn....start creating your fun stampin' goodies for your Trick or Treater's....

Happy Stampin!

Susan
