Happy Hump Day, Wednesday and Borderline Buddies Day!
Wow! What a bunch of fun events to celebrate! Woo Hoo!
Leanna was the challenger for this week....if you want to call it a challenge at all....never seems to be when you love what you do and love to share what you do and work with the most amazing products Stampin' Up! Has to offer! Yes...I LOVE STAMPIN' UP! Can you tell? :-)
Anyhow...Leanna challenged me with the use of our fun brand new Fringe Scissors!
Okay...this one was easy :-0.....shhh...don't tell Leanna I typed that! lol
Here's what I came up with....loved this card when I saw it from Rhonda Wade (she is a super wonderful and so much fun demonstrator)
It's a punch art/scissor art fun card. I also added a twist of my own. I did some dry embossing on the flowers and did you notice my stem/leaves? Didn't have any coordinating ribbon to match the Pistachio Pudding cardstock, so I used a scrap piece of DSP. I cut the DSP about 1/4 inch wide and carefully tied a knot using the paper. Added a glue dot to the back of the "leaves" to hold it in place.
I love it...so simple....easy and so doable stampers! Now it's your turn...I challenge you to use your Fringe Scissors.....and be creative.
Here's a tip on using the Fringe Scissors. Don't cut using the tip of the scissors, rather use the center of the scissors to cut. This makes a much more cleaner cut and another tip is to lightly score your CS using your Stampin' Trimmer and scoring blade along the opposite edge of the CS so you know where to stop cutting your fringe. This helps prevent you from cutting right through to the other side and making an oopsie.....did it...done it....wasn't fun!
Here's Leanna's blog address...jump on over to Canada and see what she has prepared for you!
Have a super stampin' day..next week, it's my turn to challenge Leanna...hmmmmm :-)
