Hope you are having a great week so far....It's Wednesday and you know what day that is?
No silly, not hump day.....yes it is Stampin' Survivor day but most of all.......
Leanna challenged me this week to create something with the March Paper Pumpkin. Well, I'm glad she did because as of Saturday, I hadn't even opened mine. I did have a sneak peek beforehand of what was in the kit and viewed the Stampin' Up! video of what to create, but things have been so busy for me over these past two weeks that I just didn't have a chance to get to it...but I'm so glad she came forward with this challenge....it was so much fun to care the basic cards which SU gives us, but it was more fun creating cards of my own...with a little assistance of fellow demos to inspire me...OMG...I am so excited to share...I was just gonna share one, but I cannot! I have to share them all...well, not the basic ones, but ones I spruced up...woo hoo...here we go:
I guess I should be showing this card last. When I was coming near the end of my creations, I had the background Glimmer paper left..hmmmmm....couldn't possibly discard or throw it into the trash...so, here's what I did...it already had the adhesive on the back, so I adhered it to the front of the card, with a little layering underneath....lol
When I saw the stripes on the card front, it reminded me of a summer dress that I use to have...so I used the dress framelits and recreated my dress...with a little gold glitz topper. The gold shimmery paper is actually created using the envelope liners that come with the kit. I also used the Gold Embossing Powder and Versamark ink pad and embossed the congrats. This would be a fun congrats for many things including wedding/shower, graduation or any way you would like to congrat someone special.
Thought...hmmmm....I could cut apart the "thank you"...so I used my Paper Snips to do just that and then used the ink pad to color it. Fun! Using the border SAB punch that I got for free and a little cardstock layering...fun! Kind of nautical!
Using the same piece of liner from the above cards, I used the Tag Punch to create some fun glitz. I also colored in the congrats right to the ink pad and a few punched out circles and a bit of Baker's twine.
Okay...final share...still using up pieces of the envelope liner and punched out butterflies and some stamping with the stamp set that came with the kit and colors as well.
And...here they all are....what a fun challenge.....what do you think? Comments?
Fun...huh? Well I thought so....
Now, let's head on over to Leanna's blog to see what she has created for you:
Have a Happy Stampin' Day!
Susan
