Mixed Media Madness

Hello and Happy Monday!

I'm back to work today part time....kind of like the first day of school.  It seems like forever since I've been at work and I'm looking forward to it and getting my life back into a "normal" routine....I'll let you know if I still feel that way by the end of the week.....lol 

Since my art class on Thursday, I am artistic bound!  I got myself hooked into creating mixed media and did some research on Pinterest and watched a few videos and yes...I'm hooked into this, so this week I'd like to share with you some of my creations and a sneak peek to the one I am currently working on.  It's so much fun...and a great way to use up my retired Designer Series Paper and retired embellishments that I cannot sell (sorry...but I've been taking from my soon to be retired items I'm selling)....it's a great way to release your creative abilities.....so...enough talking....

Here's the overall creation:

The houses were so much fun to decorate using the DSP and some of the buttons and embelishments

 

I love this pennant hanging in the corner. 

 

How about a fun pinwheel to decorate the roof?

 

Here's a close up of the pinwheel. It had been a Big Shot Sizzlet that had retired...so glad I decided to keep all my Big Shot retired items....wondering what else I can create with this.



 

 

So....what do you think?  Are you ready to give Mixed Media a try?  I'm thinking of offering an upcoming class...maybe a holiday one? 

 

 Speaking of holidays....wait till you see my current project....a Halloween House hanging.  :-)
