I thought today I would share with you something that you may have purchased and never used much or maybe never really understood how to use...the Stamp A Ma Jig...I have to admit..when I first got this (well my first one as I own two), I was like..what....???? how is this T thingie and piece of clear plastic gonna help me stamp right where I want it?
Well...guess what....IT DOES!
Most importantly....DO NOT THROW AWAY THE PLASTIC SHEET THAT COMES WITH IT.... This is probably the most important thing in this kit...well, you can, if you want to keep a permanent stamped image and your stamp set is wood mounted use a piece of our cardstock vellum with Staz On black ink and make a permanent one...
anyhow.....it is sold on page 235 of the catalog. The item number is #101049 and it's $11.95 of pure heaven!
Today we are going to use Perfect Peacock...the same stamp we used at my New Demo Event on Sunday. This stamp set is only wood mounted. It is just a set of one...and a beautiful stamp set....if you like to color...if you do not like to color, you are also going to love this stamp set...which I will show you in the coming weeks.
Okay...so here's my old (one of two) Stamp A Ma Jig that I got years ago in my stamping days..still works just as well as the current one but I could not find this one once and well...you know what happens...ordered another one and then it was found...anyhoo....back to stamping.
First step is to stamp the image onto the plastic sheet...do not use permanent ink or it will be permanent on your plastic sheet....dhhhhh
So align the T onto the left hand side of the plastic..ink up the stamp and stamp down with the wood against the corner of the T in the jig and.....
Stamp
Next then take your plastic sheet and put on top of the cardstock you wish to stamp and place it where you want your image.....remove the plastic sheet and....
Stamp and voila...your perfect placement....
I used the Blendability Markers to color....
And here's what came of that....
And the finished card.....
I also used the alcohol based Blendability Markers to color the rhinestones...
And that's it my friends....The Stamp A Ma Jig...hope that cleared some things up...and not confused you more...lol
Have a wonderful stampin a jig day!
Susan
