It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Hello Stampers and Scrappers!

It's a busy time of the year...so much to do...shopping, wrapping, baking, decorating, cleaning, etc.  I could go on and on but it's also the best time of the year to not forget those less fortunate than ourselves.

During this time of the year, we all have things that occur in our lives; things that we think are the worst possible events, but believe me, those that do not have family or loved ones that care about them...they are truly those we need to not forget about during this time of the year...a simple Happy Holidays (or Merry Christmas), a smile, a wave of the hand to them or even a simple card to send...can really brighten up someone's day!

Please take a moment to whip up a simple card to send off to someone that is alone or maybe does not have family during this time....it will make a world of difference to them.

For inspiration, let me share with you some quick ideas to create:

I hosted a class/Christmas Stampin' Party this week.  The class was focused on our Watercolor Winter Kit in the current Occasions Catalog....don't forget to check it out...it's on the clearance rack..,,,,it's not just for Christmas either....this is a fun "happy" card.....The sled is already die cut for you...you just need to get out your aqua painter (or use the paintbrush provided for you in the kit). Everything you see here was included in the kit....except the ribbon bow....that was from my stash.

Now here is another quick card put together using the same kit...the kit comes with supplies to create a total of 20 cards....and envelopes...and what a great deal it truly is.....

The "Merry" is watercolored with Old Olive using ink from the lid of the ink pad and some water using my aquapainter...the letters just need to be punched out as do the trees, holly and vellum leaves.

The tree was colored by a direct to paper technique....using the same Old Olive ink...what a bolder color you can get using a direct to paper techniqure. This tree was then layered onto the gold glimmer tree which also is punched out. The kit also includes the sequins and the word Christmas was stamped using the coordinating stamp set.
It's hard to tell but the layered white background has an embossed woodgrain background...
Now head on over to my online store and stock up on these marked down kits...you'll be ahead of the game for next Christmas or those winter birthdays and such!

Have a super stampin' day!

Susan
