I don't know about you but when I see a cardinal, they just make me smile.
On a winter day when everything is dormant and there isn't much color but white from the snow, the red male cardinal seems to just pop out....
The simplicity of this card is just the same....a simple white card with some simple stamping.
The cardinal was stamped onto our heavier weight Whisper White CS and then cut out. I also stamped the outline of the bird on the base card and then using Stampin' Dimensionals, I adhered the colored bird.
A small piece of striped gold vellum was used to add a little something on the top of the card...just felt like it needed something.
This is a super fun stamp set to play with as it is a two step...stamp the image in a dark color and then "colored in" using a second stamp....the beak and the part around the beak are separate stamps as well...along with the berries. The branch is also a 2-step stamp...an outline and a filler.
If you are wondering where the "A" came from, I inked up just the "A" and stamped it.
To complete the rest of the saying, I inked up the saying and then used a blender pen to remove the ink from just the "A".
Joyful is a separate stramp which made that part super simple!
Have a super stampin day!
