Welcome to another Borderline Buddies Wednesday
Leanna and I are continuing with our month long techniques.
Let's see what Leanna has to share
Now, my turn.
I had a great weekend spending some time with a dear friend, Bette...she spent the time creating her favorites.....elephants....and I spent the time playing with her Rose Wonder Stamp Set & coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits
I stamped a bunch of these images and then Sunday took the time to create different samples with them....so much fun!
I cut out the large Rose from Whisper White cardstock.
I would recommend the Precision Base Plate along with the Big Shot Die Brush using this Rose Thinlit.....My friend Bette did not have these and I had a hard time being able to cut out this intricate rose.....I did end up using a few shins as well as some dryer sheets and was able to cut out three of the roses....but it would have been much easier using the extra accessories.
So I used a 2-way glue pen on the back of the cut out rose and allowed it to dry....and then stuck it down (temporarily) onto the Whisper White Cardstock.
I then used stampin sponges with the colors of Old Olive and Blushing Bride and sponged over the rose and leaves creating this beautiful sponged rose.
I then used the sponged cut rose and created a second card....so it's like getting two cards out of one....
I used the Blushing Bride ribbon on the front to add a little more color....I didn't want the card to be too solemn....
This is a beautiful bundle and I could see myself using this set for many types of cards....may have to add this to my collection :-)
Hope you have a super stampin' day!
