Borderline Buddies...It's a Zoo here!

Doin' the Happy Dance....for Borderline Buddies Wednesday!

Woop Woop!

One of my favorite days of the week....something about Wednesdays that I love.....
Yes...Borderline Buddies Sharing Day ( along with half way through the week as well)

This is the day that my Canadian BFF Leanna and I challenge each other (although it hasn't been much of a challenge being I love stampin' so much)....to create on a certain subject, topic, etc.

So...let's see what Leanna has to share this week (I cannot wait)!:

We are still on the retired product/s.....and I have to stand up and say....this was only the second time I inked up this stamp set......Zoo Babies.....OMG...yes...why I haven't I used this stamp set before...it is simply adorbs!

Okay, so I got an invitation in the mail to a baby shower....I have to say that I don't seem to have any baby stamps....but remembered this stamp set that I had (soon to retire...so get it!).

Zoo Babies.....When wondering what gift I would get (well part of my gift)...I thought back to before my kiddos were born and what would I have wished to have..thinking...thinking....

Ahh.....how about a quick and easy scrapbook idea....and yes, Thank You Cards!
Zoo Babies was just what I needed to create with (plus I saw she had elephants and some baby animals on a lot of the items she had on her baby registry).

So, here is what I created for her and her hubby and new baby to be:

I saw an idea that another demo, Patty Bennett created a while back using Project Life and our Hello Baby Boy (we also have Hello Baby Girl too)...and the stamp set Zoo Babies.  So off to Pinterest I go to come up with an idea for the cards.  Perfect Gift idea!  and I will not have to worry about anyone else giving the same gift (which always seems to happen when you go to baby showers, bridal showers, etc.,)  Those registry's never seem to work right!

Let's take a closer look...shall we?

First off...the Thank You notes....I used our Note Cards and Envelopes to make it super simple....they come with 20 cards and envelopes...voila....no cutting, scoring....I scored there!

Then used the Zoo Babies stamp set (retiring) and stuck with the sample color types from the coordinating baby book I created.....as she is having a boy....and focused on using the elephant as there were a lot of "elephant stuff" on her registry.  I stamped right on the note card....and then stamped another elephant and cut out the ear and attached with a Stampin' Dimensional.  I then used our White Perfect Accents using the smallest of the three sizes to over the eye....

I also used Gorgeous Grunge (the coffee splatter stamp) using the colors Lost Lagoon (retiring), Pool Party, So Saffron and Certainly Celery.

The "thanks" was from the Cottage Greetings (not retiring) stamped in Archival Black Ink.

Oh, and I don't think it shows too well but a cute little monkey peeking on the corner of the envelope in Soft Sky.

Hmmm...this picture makes the legs look a little shaded...cool!

I then used retiring Pistachio Pudding Lace Ribbon to tie it all together.
