It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Autumn.....

Hello and thank you for stopping by today!

I had an inspiration.....which I usually do from another very talented demonstrator, Patty Bennett....She was showing some fun watercoloring techniques on her video last week and I just had to give it a try.....so....here are my tries......

I think these leaves look absolutely amazing and so life like....what do you think?

I used the Leaflits Framelits.....and some watercolor paper....so...how did I do it?

First off....I used our wonderful Watercolor Paper, an aquapainter and our reinkers.

I wet the Watercolor Paper using water in our aquapainter....and wet the paper well.  I then used the lid of the ink pads and dropped in a few drops of the reinter.  The colors I used were Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Cajun Craze.

I started first with the lightest color, Crushed Color and just made a few "swishes" on the watercolor paper, then Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and a bit of Old Olive....the watercolor paper and water made the colors blend and spread out...You can always add a little more over the top here and there...so each and every page would turn out different...depending on how much of each color/s you add.

I allowed the paper to dry and then cut out using the Leaflets Framelits. I also used the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper and cut out some of those as well.....it was so much fun to create these...and who wouldn't want to play in these leaves?

Now...what did I do with them?  Come on back on Thursday....and I show you!

Want to make a card of your own?  I am hosting a Meet Up Group at Barnes and Noble Wilkes-Barre (off public square) at 6:30 p.m.  You can give a try of your own watercoloring and create a fun holiday card as well...just let me know if you would like to attend...so I bring enough supplies
