Hello and Happy Labor Day

Hope you spent this last weekend of summer in a fun way...I didn't...unfortunately but it is turning out to be better than it started...I woke up this morning conjested and with a sore throat, but had a nice long nap, made a pot of chicken soup in my pressure cooker and ending the day stamping.....so that turned out great!

I have had a few requests on how the paperclip bows were created on page 152 of the Stampin' Up! Catalog...well, I didn't have any paperclips but I can share with you how to create these fun bows...thanks to my Stampin' Up! demo friends....

Here's a tutorial of how I created mine...you can chose how to create yours, it's totally up to you.

Here are the supplies you will need to create the bow....oval punch, hexagon punch, 1/2 inch circle punch, DSP, glue dots and Designer Series Paper of your choice.  I used the Season of Style Designer Series Paper on Page 23 of the Holiday Catalog # 132340 $10.95 which includes 6 double sided 12 x 12 pieces of DSP.

Here are just two of the many bows I have created...the bottom one I atteched to SU! clips I had in my stash

Here are the pieces you will need...2 oval, 2 1/2 inch circle and two pieces 3/4 in width and I used 3 inches in length...but you can chose how long you want them.

Using glue dots, adhere the ovals together...

Using the oval punch have one side into the punch the other outside...this will create the rounded corners.

Using the hexagon punch, this will create the end of the bows...easy...

Using glue dots attach the bow ends to one of the circles and then attach the ovals to the center of that and then attach the circle punch to complete the top.

Here are 3 bows I created using the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper Stack Page 29 of the Holiday Catalog Page 29 # 132183 $6.95 which includes 48 sheets of double sided designs 4 1/2 x 6 1/2.

Here is one of the fun cards I created incorporating one of the paper bows and stamped withe Snow Day stamp set...cute.....

Now...go give this fun idea a try and don't forget to share with me what you have created.

Happy Stampin'
