Stamp Class 101......

Oh...before I forget....One week today... is Mother's Day so be sure to have your cards ready for mailing....don't want to forget that special person in your lives....

How about.....Stamps?  lol


Did you know that Stampin' Up! offers our stamps in three different ways......We have:

1- Rubber Mounted Wood Block stamps - With stamps  permanently mounted  on blocks, they’re  always ready to go!  Blocks are made from beautiful farmed maple.  Each wood-mount set comes with a set of wood blocks— one block for each stamp.

2- Rubber Clear Stamps - Position stamps on clear blocks when you stamp, then remove for space-saving storage.  One set of  clear blocks works for all of  your stamps.  Sleek and modern blocks are made  from clear acrylic  for perfect  placement (sold  separately; p. 234).

3- Photopolymer Stamps - Our photopolymer stamps offer precision alignment for alphabet, border, and large-text stamps.


Let's take a closer look.....

Lets work first with the Rubber Mounted Wood Block Stamps...they are just that.....rubber stamps that come with wood blocks which you mount permanently your stamps.....no fuss...no muss...but drawback....they take up a lot of room on your stampin' shelves....and usually need a stamp-a-ma-jig to align just perfectly......but I love them!

Now....Rubber Clear Stamps.....they are just like the Wood Mount Block Stamps...but not permanently mounted on wood.....they require our acrylic blocks to adhere the rubber to each time you want to stamp.....drawback...you have to mount and unmount them each time you use...but on the plus side.....they take up much less room (the size of a DVD case) as well as you can customize your stamp....being you can use an extra large acrylic block and adhere numerous stamps to the block, ink up...and stamp one time!  Cool!  Love them as well.

Now...our newest addition - Photopolymer Stamps.....okay...who doesn't love them?  Me! Me!  These are stamps that are clear....unmounted and very sticky....so you can create a collage of stamps on an extra large acrylic block (somewhat like the Rubber Clear stamps) but you can see right through them...thus not needing anything to align them....and they are super cool...and been told they smell somewhat like chocolate!  lol...Well, that's what our CO Shelli Gardner thinks...I do...a little...another cool feature is you can position them in a wave...a circle or move them around on the block however you want...so a line....is not just a line with them! 

Here's a little tip for your Photopolymer stamps...they do stain...but....if you use a light ink the first time you ever stamp with them...they will stain that color....so next time you use a darker ink...they will not stain dark....yes...it's true!  Got that Tip from Demo Connie Stewart...love her!

So...that's the ins and outs of our stamps.....hopefully this helped clear up some discussions which have been held about them....
