Let's Bring Birthdays Back

It's time to bring birthdays back....don't you think?

With all the social media, texting, emailing, etc.....I think it's time to bring back the old fashioned way to wish Happy Birthday's....I am also guilty of it myself.....so much easier to send a text or email or even say it on Facebook....but there is nothing better than a hand stamped card....

Our mailboxes are filled with junk mail and bills (well I would like to refer to bills as junk mail)....to open up the mailbox and see an envelope that is hand addressed...and even decorated on the outside....can bring such joy and smiles to the person receiving it.....

I remember growing up going to my grandmother's house and well being there were no kids there...usually nothing much for us to do....but my grandmother saved everything...including all the cards that everyone sent to her..now mind you, they were not hand stamped but that was our fun.....pull out the cards and make card houses, card towns and even see who can create the tallest card house....without it falling over....

Kids of today....do not now about that...it's a disposable world....it's a world of everyone busy running here and running there.....but it's time to put a stop to that and it's time to:

Let's all get on the bandwagon and bring birthdays back!
Creating a card doesn't have to be an elaborate one....quick and simple is always best....and if you do not have a whole lot of time.....Kissing is best....which stands for Keep It Simple Stampers!

Now...I have to admit...this is not a simple card...but it is simply made...may look like a lot...but it really isn't..just stamping and running the flowers through the Big Shot using the coordinating Framelits...and the basket is created using the Big Shot Bigz Strawberry Basket Die.....a little embellishments for the flowers and such....and voila....a beautiful birthday card!

This stamp set retired last catalog....but you get the idea on how simple you can create a beautiful card.....the butterfly stamp set; however, is still available for purchase...and the best part is it is photoplymer....and has a coordinating framelit.

Here is a close up of the flowers......
